Angela Clinton
FACILITATOR
Angela Clinton is a racial-equity organizer and a diversity and community-organizing trainer. She is committed to large, systemic change and deep healing.
Angela attended her first Beyond Diversity 101 and Training for Trainers in 2008 and has served as intern, staff and assistant facilitator for both trainings. Experiencing the honesty, vulnerability, truth telling and hopefulness of Beyond Diversity 101 has changed Angela’s life. She now sees life through the frameworks shared, notices patterns of diversity regularly, and is committed to being full-up in all she is so as to invite others to do the same.
Angela’s life’s path has been a winding one that has included organizing, politics, teaching and exploring healing practices. She has a fierce love of dance and a deep gratitude for yoga. She is a certified yoga teacher at yogaspirit® studio (200-hour). Angela aims to make yoga accessible to all people especially those who can’t picture themselves on a yoga mat.
While organizing fulltime, Angela was on a path to embody the transformational changes she was fighting for in the world, using much of what she learned through BD101. Currently, she has the honor of directing the Organizer’s Path for Co-Creating Effective and Inclusive Organizations/Organizers (CEIO) in New Haven, CT. The yearlong intensive support and training program creates space for organizers to become more effective and reflect on themselves and their ways of being as organizers, to embody inclusivity, justice and conscious co-creation. She also serves as a Capacity Building and Training Partner for CEIO.
